Read about all the different things we have been doing this week in Foundation!

This week in Foundation we have been listening to a Julia Donaldson story called Stickman.

This is a lovely story about a very special stick family.

Stick Man lives in the family tree with his Stick Lady Love and their stick children three. But it’s dangerous being a Stick Man ! A dog wants to play with him, a swan builds her nest with him. He even ends up in a fire! Will he ever get back to the family tree? You will need to read the book to find out!

We have been playing in our woodland role play.

As you can see we have been pretending to make a camp fire with some of the sticks we found on our ‘stick hunt’.

We have also been making Stick people with lots of different materials

We have been reading on our own and with our teachers !

In the outdoor cafe we have been experimenting with sand and different tools to create some fabulous dishes.

And finally we have been acting out lots of different roles in our outdoor play.

Den building proved to be a popular activity which needed lots of team work!
