Come and see our refurbished Library!

Come along and see our fantastic library. We have lots of great books on shiny new shelves and bright zingy furniture!

Local author Dan Metcalf will be in the library from 3pm on Thursday 1st October to help us with the official opening. Big shout out to Mrs Rogers who has spent many, many hours putting all the books back in the right place, creating a bright welcoming space to read and learn!

Don’t forget the EXTREME READING competition – entries in by Wednesday 30th September please!

Where will your reading take you?

First two weeks in Aller class.

Hello Aller Class,

We are nearly at the end of our second week back at school – can you believe it?

We have been looking at The Snail and the Whale in our English lessons and discussing different parts of the story. Next week we will have a go at writing our own part of the story. I am very excited to read some of your fantastic ideas.

In maths we have been looking at two digit numbers and spending time ordering them and today we used decimetres to measure one a person!

In our topic work we have been looking at science and focusing on parts of our bodies as well as members of our family. Some beautiful pieces of work have been produced especially when creating a personal timeline.

Fraser Bear – our classroom bear – had his first home visit last week and is very much looking forward to spending another weekend with a member of Aller class!

Tomorrow will also see the first two winners of the lucky ticket draw – I am sure they can tell you all about lucky tickets!

Keep up the good work Aller class!

Year 2
Do you go online and chat to other players when using an xbox/wii/playstation?
Do you have your own email address?
What rules do you have at home about being online?
